2017 admission test for the club

Hi there! Welcome to our club!

We've decided to conduct a test to decide which students will gain entry to our club. Here's the test papers. The instructions are contained in the test papers itself.

Programming: test paper
Web development: test paper

Deadline - 2nd May to 10th May 2017 (1 week)
Submission email - aliganj1computerclub@gmail.com

Important remarks:

1. Do not be disheartened if you're unable to solve the whole of it, as we do not expect you to solve the whole test paper either. However, you must attempt it and try to get as close to the correct solution as you can.
2. We encourage you to check the internet for hints HOWEVER you must note that we will ask you how your code works, and you must be able to provide a proper explanation for the same.
3. Be careful though: we're very strict about plagiarism. We'll make sure to ask the logic of any program or a webpage that you submit to us, to make sure that you did not copy the code from another site or person.
4. We'll start checking the solutions after the deadline is over.
5. We'll select the best students - even if they were unable to solve the paper completely. So, if you think you can make it to the top, be sure to send your submission.

Welcome to the C³ club!

We're a very friendly computer club with a laser-sharp focus on:

"Identifying the best of the best students and training them well in advance so that they excel in their fields and win prizes in various events."

This is the main blog where all information regarding different events, results of our quizzes, etc. will be frequently published.

We've opened registrations today. Participation, further training, precisely everything is completely free :-) The bare minimums we require are:

1. Classes 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th are invited.*
2. A usable laptop/PC with a proper broadband connection at home.
3. A dedication to learn more.
4. Out-of-the-school knowledge in at least one IT-related event mentioned in the form.**
5. Average 30 minutes of dedicated time per day for activities of the club.

* - Class 12th students are nearing year end and have currently no IT events lined up for them. They can still fill up the Ex-Participant form if they've been to any IT-related event before, and help out enthusiastic newbies.
** - Out-of-the-school knowledge means beyond what's taught in our course book, in any IT field. We understand there are plenty of newbies willing to enhance their skills in such areas. We'll decide whether we intend to hold weekly teaching classes for programming, web design, etc. based on the volume of such responses, so you may submit the form if you're interested.

Here is the form (LINK REMOVED) you need to fill in. After you've filled up the form, if there are any queries, please contact us. We'll get back to you within a week.

We intend to hold a preliminary test to sort out the best 5-10 students for each category from the form submissions.

We plan to meet once a week. All further category-specific decisions will be taken based on the volume of students filling up the form for each category.

We'll be adding links to the list of ex-participants, events, etc. here, soon.
